Meet our Provider

Dr. Jiyong Ahn is board certified in diagnostic and vascular interventional radiology and is a diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine.

Having more than 20 years of diverse experiences, he combines diagnostic and interventional vascular radiology with expertise in phlebology and vein disease to provide patients world-class treatments that result in healthier legs.

VEIN SPECIALIZATION

Dr. Ahn has extensive training in phlebology, the diagnosis and treatment of varicose vein disease and related disorders. He is skilled in minimally invasive techniques including ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy and thermal ablation.

MEDICAL CREDENTIALS

He graduated from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York where he also completed his residency and chief residency in diagnostic radiology. Dr. Ahn completed his fellowship training in cardiovascular interventional radiology at Cornell Medical Center in New York.

PRIOR EXPERIENCE

Dr. Ahn held faculty positions at Mount Sinai Medical Center and Albany Medical Center and was also the attending chief of interventional radiology at White Plains Hospital. He was head of research and development with ISSAC Medical Inc. Prior to his position at Modern Vein Providers, he held positions at Vein Clinics of America as well as Medical Director at NYBG Veins. Dr. Ahn has over 20 years of experience specializing in the treatment of varicose vein disease.
